| As anyone in the food industry knows, not everyone has the same tastes and not everyone will agree on what is good or not. Damien, has his own opinions to which I disagree completely, I have gone to this restaurant for 10 years or so, and not once have i ever been served mango chutney with poppadom bits in it from previous diners and the meat is always juicy and full of flavour and highly deserved of the prices that they set, some of the dishes are cooked to be dry without a sauce but this is explained in the menu. NO OTHER INDIAN COMPARES if you are seriously after indian dishes and not another nationalities version of indian food. All dishes here are cooked in spices, some are hot some are mild, some of the dishes are cooked with a sauce and some are not but each and every dish has the description as to what to expect next to it. |

| I visited this restaurant on Saturday evening after seeing rave reviews on the internet, I was very dissapointed, the meat was dry and tasteless, the mango chutney was full of bits of popadom from the previous diners, we waited almost 40mins for our main course, please ignore the other comments there are much better restaurants in croydon such as the Chat house or Khaana Peenah |

| I've been going there for 15 years!
Different to the usual 'Indian' cuisine and superbly prepared, cooked and served. |

| There is something quite special about the Banana Leaf. The menu is a little different from most curry houses and the food is quite simply delicious. If you are seriously into curry i would get down there sharpish. |

| I don't know of any other curry house that serves the diversity of dishes that the Banana Leaf does. Most of these are absolutely delicious and this combined with very reasonable prices means I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! |

| Authentic South Indian (Tamilian) food if you ask for it. If you don't, the taste is a mishmash of Indian and Balti.
DO NOT ORDER THE NORTH INDIAN DISHES ON THE MENU! The expertise of the chef is clearly South Indian. |
